This week’s article, SAS 70s: Background on the Reason for Change, discusses how service organization auditors are required to use the guidance contained in SSAE No. 16 Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization instead of the guidance contained in SAS No. 70 Reports on the Processing of Transactions by Service Organizations. This change is effective for service auditor reports for periods ending on or after June 15, 2011.
