Expense Reporting Policy Violation Memo

This expense reporting violation review focuses on an employee’s potential noncompliance with this standard corporate policy.

In this sample, internal audit randomly selects an employee's expense report for the monthly audit and, upon review of the expense report, notes a potential violation. There are three levels of policy violation, which all require different actions. Potential violations include: a corporate policy may not have been followed but does not require additional action; a corporate policy may not have been followed and additional support and/or information is required; and a corporate policy was not followed, and a supervisor will be notified.
