System Development Life Cycle Questionnaire

This tool contains two sample documents that highlight questions to consider when creating and measuring an organization’s system development life cycle process.

Questions to consider include: Did the project plan cover areas such as timelines, milestones, staff, responsibility, etc.? Were periodic meetings held to discuss the progress of the project? Did the information systems steering committee (ISSC) review the detailed and validated business case? If so, were the approvals documented? Did the systems development methodology obtain parallel and/or pilot testing plans for all new systems or major enhancements of a system?
