Data Conversion Audit Work Program

This tool contains two sample audit programs that provide steps organizations can take to perform a data conversion audit.

Sample steps include: conduct interviews with key personnel to gain an understanding of the process by which data is transferred and loaded between source and destination; test controls in place, which help to ensure data integrity during the transfer and loading process; test the existence of completed mapping of data between source and destination; test controls in place that identify, communicate and resolve fallout; and discuss any discrepancies with the process owners to confirm issues and identify root causes.
