1. I’ve forgotten my username or my password. What should I do?
Go to the
Forgot Your Username or Password page, enter the email address you used when registering with KnowledgeLeader, and click "Submit." An email containing your username and a new temporary password will be sent to you. When you log in with this temporary password, you will be prompted to create a new password.
2. I requested a new password but didn’t receive an email containing the new temporary one. What should I do?
Check your spam folder to make sure it was not filtered there. We also recommend that you add the email address
knowledgeleader@protiviti.com to your address book and then try sending the email again.

3. Why can’t I login to KnowledgeLeader?
Make sure your web browser has cookies, JavaScript, and pop-ups enabled. Although we don't use pop-up advertising, we do utilize a pop-up login. You can view our full Cookie Policy

If you continue having issues logging in, please send a screenshot of the error to
knowledgeleader@protiviti.com.
4. How can I change my password or contact info?
To change your password or contact information, click on
My Account located at the top right corner of the site to view or change your account details.
5. Why can’t I view the attached article documents?
Our articles are all in PDF form. Please make sure you have a PDF viewer installed on your browser. If you have trouble viewing PDF files from your browser, please refer to the help section of your chosen PDF viewer.
6. Why can’t I view the attached tool documents?
Our tools are currently in Microsoft Office formats, including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. If you have issues opening a tool, download the attachment using the “Save As” option when you click “Download Now.”
7. How do I unsubscribe from the weekly update newsletter email?
To turn off the weekly newsletter email, go to
My Account, click on your account to open, click "Edit My Information" and select "Do not include me in the mailing list."
8. How do I find a work program (or another tool or article) for a particular industry?
There are two ways to find work programs by industry:
- Go to the Topics tab and click on a topic of interest in the list, then use the filters on the left to narrow the results to "Audit Programs." If that filter does not appear, we may not have a document that matches that criteria right now.
- Put a relevant term in the search box and then narrow the results using Audit Programs in the Content Area filter and/or industry in the Topics filter.

10. I just received an invoice, but I would like to pay via credit card. Please help.
Email us at
knowledgeleader@protiviti.com (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Mountain Time Zone). Please be sure to include your invoice number and the email address listed in your account so that we can send a secure payment link to process your transaction online.
11. Can I share my username and password with members of my department?
Although we want you to use and share our content, according to the terms of our
Access Agreement each subscription is sold on a per user basis. Usernames and passwords should be kept confidential.
12. How can I transfer my subscription to someone else?
Email us at
knowledgeleader@protiviti.com (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Mountain Time Zone). Accounts with KL
plus are only transferable at the end of a subscription.
13. I just purchased a group subscription. Why don't I have access to the content?
When a group is created, there is an option to set up the group administrator with access to the content, or with administrative capabilities and no access. If you are the group administrator,
Contact Us and we will add access to your account.
14. I am now the administrator of a group subscription. How do I change the settings in our group?
Assigning Seats
- Click "Group Profile" on the left-hand side.
- To assign users, please click the "Assign New User" button listed at the bottom of the group profile.
- Fill in the fields with the new user's information.
- Click "Submit."

- Complete Steps 2 and 3 for each user you would like to add.
- To view current group members, click "Group Members" on the left-hand side.

Upgrade to KLplus
- To upgrade to KLplus, click the "Group Members" tab.
- Click "Upgrade to KLplus" next to the account you would like to upgrade.
- Once you upgrade to KLplus, the seat can't be transferred.
- Fill in the fields with the new user's information.
- Click "Submit."

Transfer an Account
- To transfer an account (KLplus is not transferable), click on the "Group Members" tab on the left-hand side.
- Click "Transfer Seat" next to the account to transfer.
- Fill in the fields with the new user's information.
- Click "Submit."

Add Seats (Standard and KLplus)
- To add seats, click the "Add Seats or Upgrade to KLplus" button on the bottom of the group members or group profile tab.
- Enter the number of new seats you would like to add.
- Click "Submit."
- Follow the instructions above to assign users to the new seats.
