Analyzing process description charts can be extremely valuable because they contain detailed lists of the tasks involved in the processes you wish to improve. The summary portion of the chart is immediately useful as it lists the following measurables: the number and time of operations, transfers, reviews, storage, and delays. These measurables should be the primary focus of your analysis.
