Bereavement Policy

This policy outlines procedures on bereavement benefits for employees, providing them sufficient time to attend services due to the loss of an immediate family member.

According to this policy bereavement pay should be granted to eligible employees. This policy provides a list of family members that qualify as immediate family of an employee. Also outlined are procedures regarding the maximum leave eligibility, employee requests to take additional paid time off, and the process to be followed in case the funeral or memorial arrangements are held at a later date.
