Delegation of Authority Policy

This tool contains two sample policies that outline standards and procedures related to assigning authority within an organization.

Sample procedures in these policies include: Only the president and CEO, executive VP and CFO, VP of treasury and investor relations, or their designee are authorized to contact, disclose or share information regarding the company with the public; each operating division should establish procedures related to the authorization and approval of operating expenses; and each operating division and corporate department should establish clear procedures related to the authorization of general and administrative expenses.
