A family and medical leave (FML) of absence entitles eligible employees to take up to 12 weeks of leave per a rolling 12 month period (measured backward from the date an employee uses any FML) for a variety of medical reasons. This sample policy outlines a set of procedures for FML, in accordance with the U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, to provide a family friendly work experience.
