Software Upgrade Policy

This policy outlines procedures for upgrading software applications within an organization.

According to this sample, all information technology software applications should generally reflect the most recent version of the application software that is properly vendor supported. This generally is no more than two versions behind the most recent commercially available version. This is important to ensure the most comprehensive functionality of the applications in place and to help assure that customers receive the best and most comprehensive service through the latest in vendor application software.
