This sample policy on demo units includes procedures for initiating a demo transaction; invoicing for demo units, sales and RMA orders; processing of demo orders; and collection issues. Demo units are company products provided to prospective resellers and customers to evaluate and test before deciding whether to carry or buy the particular company product line. This policy covers all company demo units provided to prospective resellers.
In this sample, these units will be given to prospective resellers and customers for a period not to exceed 60 days. At the end of that period, the resellers and customers are required to return the units to the company or be invoiced for units not returned.
