Data Backup and Recovery: Three Sample Policies for Recognizing and Retaining Data
This tool contains three sample policies that highlight guidelines and procedures common to recognizing and retaining data.
These samples standardize a means of backing up and recovering computer files. The following areas of information technology are addressed: daily and monthly data backups, network server backups, application backups, property backups, data center access, tape rotation schedule, off-site tape deliveries, and job scheduling. Unless specifically stated in another policy statement, the contents of this document should apply to all data backups.
