Mobile Device Acceptable Use Policy

This sample policy defines standards, procedures and restrictions for end users required to access corporate data from mobile devices.

The overriding goal of this policy is to protect the confidential business data that resides within a company’s technology infrastructure. This policy intends to govern access to this data and to prevent this data from being deliberately or inadvertently stored insecurely on a mobile device or carried over an insecure network where it can potentially be accessed by unauthorized resources. A breach of this type could result in loss of information, damage to critical applications, loss of revenue and damage to the company’s public image.
