In today’s dynamic business and technology environments, information technology (IT) audit functions must operate to help their organizations identify, mitigate and monitor an escalating volume of IT risks at a rapid pace.
In the third quarter of 2015, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Protiviti partnered to conduct the 5th Annual IT Audit Benchmarking Survey to determine where IT audit functions stand in their capabilities to address key challenges. The top technology challenge faced by IT audit professionals is keeping pace with emerging technology and infrastructure changes, including transformation, innovation and disruption. In this article, we will review the key findings of the survey and examine where IT audit functions stand in their capabilities to help management and the board of directors address these complex challenges.
