Consumer Credit Lending Audit Work Program

This tool contains two work program samples that highlight general steps an organization should follow with respect to effective consumer credit lending.

Sample steps include: recalculate the consumer credit board delinquent report and trace applicable figures to the previous month’s report, trace applicable figures to the delinquent loan trial balance, recalculate all the percentages and note any discrepancies, prepare a summary of all general ledger accounts of the consumer credit department, note details of reconciling items, follow up to ensure that all reconciling items have been cleared, and obtain a copy of the most recent proofs of the general ledger accounts from department management.
