IT Project Governance Audit Work Program

This audit work program outlines steps to execute an IT project governance audit. One objective of this audit is to confirm that the program management organization (PMO) has implemented a complete program management toolkit. This includes: project plans, change control, communications plan, issues tracker, risk management plan, scope management processes, time tracking, cost management, quality assurance, roles, responsibilities and reporting relationships.

Other objectives include: ensuring that processes are in place to accurately and objectively convey the status of all layers of management, verifying that project risks are reported to management in a timely manner, etc.
