According to this policy, a company should expect employees to adhere to a standard of good conduct and to observe company policies and procedures.

Any failure to do so may result in a decision to impose discipline or terminate the employment relationship. Employees should understand that while the company may exercise its discretion and utilize formal discipline that is less severe than termination (e.g., warnings, probation or suspension), no formal system of warnings or progressive discipline is required. In addition, in order that employees may fully appreciate what is expected of them, this policy offers examples of the types of conduct a company should not tolerate.
