Purchasing, AP, Travel and Entertainment Audit Work Program

The purpose of this work program is to provide the general steps used to perform an audit of purchasing, AP, travel and entertainment, including the use of data analytics.

Project work steps include: conducting project planning, scope setting, and auditee requests/coordination; developing work program & other reporting templates; coordinating meetings with key process personnel; reviewing known best practices for initial benchmarking in the focus area; identifying CAAT tests and request system data for CAAT testing; and obtaining and reviewing written and "desktop" policies and procedures and organization charts for each area.
