The Audit Analytics Europe Audit Fees database now contains audit fees dating back to 2010. A review of collected fees from the last 10 years reveals a few interesting trends that may reflect the changes to statutory audits mandated by the European Union (EU) in the middle of the last decade.
In this article, Audit Analytics examines the annual audit and non-audit fee trends, as a percentage of total fees for each year from 2010-2019, of companies listed on regulated and select unregulated exchanges in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
