A Guide to Data Migration Auditing: Best Practices and Documentation
This sample document can be used as a general guide to help auditors successfully execute a data migration.
In this guide, the data migration project team will be the core team responsible for executing the end-to-end data migration activities. The project team will meet weekly to walk through the project plan and track progress, discuss upcoming items and deliverables, and address any open questions or issues. The team will also be responsible for maintaining the following documentation to provide transparency through the overall data migration plan: data migration strategy, data migration tracker, project plan, data mapping document, load templates, validation documents and cutover plans.
